April 10 Meeting

Another fun meeting!!! Today we talked about different opinions of animals and their feelings. The topic of how humans are on a different level than animals was also discussed. Different people had different opinions about living life to the fullest and if that extends to other people’s boundaries. We also got a notice saying that we would perform 2 songs on Mother’s Day- May 8, in an event hosted by the college group. One of these songs should be 红红的太阳(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3UwForMAJ8) YAY! Another performance haha. Well, not alot of people came today so we didn’t get the chance to practice singing but come next week! Plus Mazie baked alot of chocolate chip cookies so those who didn’t come missed out!!

Pardon for my an-entire-month-lateness. >___<;;
WELL, on 2/20/10 the BWHS crew went to Glen Ivy for the owlhouses and orangepicking.
I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we had a blast there. :D

Kevin Luu and Eric Ting working on an owlhouse.
We set up two different owlhouses at two different locations, everyone was eager to pitch in and help.

Sergio was a lot of help, and it’s thanks to him that we had such a wonderful experience! So, many thanks to him!
All of the labor was worth it, not only did we get the satisfaction of helping out~
But we were also well fed!

Yum. It was good.

After lunch, we went orangepicking for a while.

1/30/10

Hey guys~ how’s everyone doing? (:

(: It was nice to meet Debbie for the first time, welcome to BWHS.~
The date for Glen Ivy is Feb. 20 on a Saturday. We will most likely meet at Heartland Center as usual.
In class we discussed about global warming (global climate change), and the effects of eating meat. ~ We also listened to the song Meat Free Monday by Paul McCartney
(The plan is that we’re going to perform this song for … something? Yeaaah…)

We talked a little about Pay It Forward, and doing good deeds.
Grace brought up a good point, a person would have more enthusiasm and would feel happier to help others if it was done voluntarily rather than involuntarily.
Do you ever get tired of helping others?
Does it become more of a chore once it becomes routine?

See you next week~!
